Hello! I’m Katy Jo. Here’s a little more about me:

I grew up in the lush forests of Washington state, where my backyard felt like an endless wilderness. Entire days were spent exploring winding trails, crossing creeks, and climbing trees, only returning home when the sun dipped below the horizon.

You know those moments when the light hits a mountain just right, the colors of a sunset seem almost unreal, and you wish you could freeze time and stay there forever? For me, photography is a way of doing just that.

It’s the art of freezing time, capturing the light, the feeling, and the beauty of a moment so it can be cherished long after it’s passed.

Photography is the beauty of a life captured.

I’m happy to call South Lake Tahoe home. You’ll find me snowboarding in the winter, flying down trails on my mountain bike in the summer, or planning my next road trip in my 1986 adventure van.

I want my photos to inspire people, transport them to places they’ve never been, and make life feel a little more magical, even if just for a moment.
